Aloe Vera For Eczema – Juice or Gelly?

Fresh Aloe Vera Leaf

Aloe vera is very beneficial for all  types of eczema.  It is also available in many forms – fresh from the leaf, made into juice or made into gelly and creams.

The gelly from fresh leaf is useful for sunburn and prevents your skin from peeling.

I used to have sunburn on my face during summer and bought the fresh leaves from an aloe vera farm.

I simply sliced off 1 inch of leaf and sliced off the green rind. Next, I put the sliver of gelly into a blender and turned it on for about 3 seconds.

Then I put a generous amount on my face.  After 5 minutes, I gently rinsed my face with cool mineral water.

This is very soothing for those of you who have yet to use this method.

I repeated this method three times a day. The result?  My face healed in 3 days.

However, you may not have the time to do all this so I recommend some store bought aloe vera gelly.  Not all brands are of good quality.  Forever Living Aloe Gelly is the only brand with patented stabilised aloe in it.  This means that the gelly acts as if it were fresh from the plant.

If you did want to buy the fresh plant, remember to get the Aloe Barbabensis Miller kind. This is because there are many different types of aloe vera plant.

Please do not assume that aloe vera gel is a jack-of-all-trades…It simply works because it contains a rich supply of mucopolysaccharides (MPS) which are a class of long chain sugars.  These are vital to our bodies and  are found in every cell we have.

Our body makes MPS in the first decade of our lives.  After  that we have to rely on food sources to  supply our bodies with MPS.

The  gel penetrates  the three layers of epidermis when applied on the skin. This is why it is so effective when healing scars.

Aloe vera gel contains enzymes, vitamins, minerals,  essential amino acids , saponins, etc and is effective in assisting the body to heal itself.

How To Use Aloe Vera Juice and Gelly

Pure Aloe vera juice is not sweet!  However, it is only    needed in small amounts to be effective.  Start with 1 tablespoon in the morning before food to aid  digestion.  Take another tablespoon in the evening before bed.

The gel can be mixed with a little honey to sweeten your tastebuds.   As time goes on, you may up the dosage to 1 tablespoon three times a day.

Aloe vera juice is known to be a laxative, so do not drink a whole 8oz cup to avoid causing diaorrhea.

The gelly is packaged in a tube and when using, simply apply to the area on your body with a light touch.       You can apply it as many times in a day as needed.  Aloe vera gelly is edible, so you can apply it to mouth ulcers and sore gums.

How Fast Does Aloe Vera Gelly Work?

This depends  on how frequently you apply the gelly or drink the juice.  Results can be seen quite quickly.

I once had a fever and drank 3oz of aloe juice then went to sleep for 3 hours.  I  had recovered by the time I woke up.  Also, I used to suffer from eczema herpes (cold sores). These covered one side of my face.

Instead of taking the usual three weeks to heal, they took 3 days to come and go.  Isn’t God great?

I had also scratched one third of my hair off one side of my head and it looked awful.  It took one and a half years for my hair to grow back and look  decent.   My eyebrows grew back too.

Obviously, we are all the same but heal at different rates. However in general,  you will find the rate that you heal will at least be twice as fast depending on your mindset and state of health.

What  Will Happen If I Stop Using Aloe Vera

If you are using aloe vera for a condition which is prolonged, you will find that the rate of healing will quicken.  So it is best to continue with it.  This will boost your immune system and also your overall health.

Aloe vera juice and gelly are very useful in healing skin.  I keep one tube in my bag and one in the bathroom, so I can use it when out and about and also after my bath.

Since my skin was very dry,  after applying the aloe gelly, I would coat myself in a mixture of shea butter and coconut oil before putting on the Tubifast bandages.

The gelly was very cooling to my skin and calmed the itchiness right down.  My scratch wounds healed in 2 weeks and the scars took another 2 weeks to heal.

Bear in mind, I do not suffer from keloid scars in general, so maybe that is another reason why my skin healed quickly.

I did change my meal contents, mostly having plenty of salads with protein and drinking green juices.

aloe juiceI was also drinking 2 oz of the juice twice a day so it was like a double whammy for my system.  My skin is now very smooth on my face and  no longer suffers from sunburn.

So there you have it, the main natural  remedy that I used in healing my eczema.  If you would like to get aloe vera gelly or aloe juice click here
