If you have eczema on your face, you can develop cold sores caused by eating almonds, sweet fruit and sunflower seeds. The sun may be a little culprit too. In this article, let me show you how to treat cold sores fast using 3 things;
- White French Argiletz Clay
- Aloe Vera Drinking Gel
- Aloe Vera Lip Balm
How I Beat Cold Sores
During my 15-year eczema battle, I developed cold sores all over the right side of my face. In the beginning when I didn’t know how to treat them, I scratched my face and they spread. Then someone introduced me to Forever Living Aloe Drinking Gel..
I would get 2 bottles of Aloe Drinking Gel.
Take 60ml (2 ounces) three times a day before each meal.
Externally, I made a thick creamy paste with white French Argiletz clay, a little water and one tablespoon of olive oil. I would mix it with a plastic spoon until the lumps disappeared and a thick creamy yoghurt-like paste formed.
Then that evening, I would apply the white clay to my face. Let it dry, then rinse off after 10-15 minutes. The clay was very soothing to the touch and dried out the sores. I did this every day for a week.
The good thing about white Argiletz clay is that it is specially suited to delicate skin. It is gentle enough for babies!
Use Lip Balm If Your Cold Sores Are On Your Mouth
Forever Living Lip Balm contains allantoin and also aloe barbensis extract. These ingredients are well known to fight inflammation and keep your lips moisturised but not wet.
Foods To Eat If You Have Cold Sores
You should eat chicken, eggs or oily fish like sardines, trout, herring or salmon. Why? Because animal protein contains the essential amino acid Lysine which is especially good for strengthening your immune system. So eat fish, chicken or eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner to prevent cold sores and also to shorten the lifespan of the cold sore.
Protein also helps in repairing your skin from the scars you may get from having cold sores. Lysine in the animal protein, helps build collagen in your skin so you still look beautiful or handsome even after having plenty of cold sore outbreaks each summer.
Vegetables like kale, parsley, and coriander are also helpful in keeping your skin toned.
Drinking Aloe Vera juice is brilliant for shortening the lifespan of cold sores. In the beginning, I used to have cold sores on my face for 3 weeks. But by drinking the aloe juice, my cold sores only lasted for 3 days. Fast forward to 2021 and I don’t have cold sores anymore due to my really clean diet.
Foods To Avoid
Sweet fruit like citrus fruit, pineapple, etc, cause inflammation and should be avoided while having a cold sore outbreak. You also should lessen your consumption of sunflower seeds and almonds as they contain large amounts of arginine. Another amino acid that can cause an outbreak of cold sores on your face.
Drinking Aloe Vera Juice
Start with a small dose – 1 ounce (30ml) morning and evening before food.
Then after 3 days, up your dose to 2 ounces in the morning and 2 ounces in the evening. See how you get on.
Personally, I really like Aloe Vera Drinking gel and drink 1 full glass a day when I am having an outbreak. However, because Aloe Drinking gel is a laxative, I would advise you DO NOT COPY ME. I am used to handling large amounts of Aloe vera juice and actually like getting a natural colon cleanse at the same time.
A clean colon means great skin!
Though there are several flavours, I choose Forever’s 99% Aloe Vera Drinking Gel. A slightly bitter taste, but fast-acting.
