Lush Dream Cream For Eczema

lotion on kneeIt’s close to summer and we’re having a hot spring in London right now…and my skin has flared up with eczema around my neck.  So far, I’ve used Aveeno cream and aloe vera gelly, coconut oil and shea butter.  In the end, to combat the dryness and tight feeling, I succumbed to getting Dream Cream by Lush.

What’s funny is that 10 years ago, I used to buy Dream Cream every month, when my skin was really bad.  However, I eventually started reacting to this cream due to some medication I was on.

Fast forward 2021, and I tried a little cream on my neck and was absolutely fine.  It is now double the price at £16, but is well worth it.

I will save money on all the other things I was using for my neck and back of shoulders.  Dream Cream is sooo soothing!! All the tight feeling round my neck has disappeared and I can turn my head freely without feeling as if someone was trying to put me in  a noose….

Main Ingredient of Dream Creamjar of oat milk

The reason why this cream is so magical is that it contains Oat Milk which is very nourishing and soothing to the skin.  It is the number one ingredient and they have put all the other ingredients in the correct ratio to one another.  As a result, you feel very relaxed and relieved while you put this on your skin.

Once I had bought this, I immediately put in on and heaved a sigh of relief.  I felt as if I had put velvet on my skin.

As i am also drinking 2 litres of avocado smoothie daily, my skin has no raised parts to it and is just slightly dark compared to the rest of my body.

I shall also be buying some Blessed Herbs Black Seed Oil as my skin shone and was very smooth to the touch when I was using it in 2020.

Dream Cream is richer than Aveeno cream, but if you have extremely dry eczema, you may want to put more olive oil into the jar.

This lovely cream also contains rose water, cocoa butter, chamomile blue oil, tea tree oil and lavender oil.  Although Dream Cream also has other ingredients, you will find that it is a totally natural cream which gives much love and care to your skin.

You will feel like a Goddess or God after you put this on.   Well I did, anyway!  Using this cream brought back many happy memories of when I used to buy Lush products by the bucketful.

Right now, I am caressing my skin.  It feels so silky right now, even with the eczema!  I have applied the cream on my neck and back three times in a row and feel thoroughly moisturised now.  With the other creams I was using, I would still feel tight around my neck within minutes of applying them

And when you feel dry and tight, you inevitably end up feeling itchy and uncomfortable.

noughts and crosses

Dream Cream Beats Coconut Oil and Even Aveeno Cream combined…

Well there you have it – I kid you not.  Dream Cream deserves a rating of at least 9/10 for being so soothing and moisturising.

May 2021 Update

My eczema spread to my back and top of my chest.  However, I added shea butter to the mix and applied this on skin after a generous amount of Dream Cream.

I have almost finished my jar of Dream Cream and really can’t thank Lush enough for making this tub of eczema-vanishing wonder.

If your skin is dry, raised and itchy, remember to slather on the Dream Cream generously, followed by the shea butter.

Then go to sleep and you will wake up having better skin.

Remember to take your baths every other night until the flare up has died down.  Also, juicing your vegetables rather than eating them, will definitely prevent your skin from becoming raised and thick scaly eczema.

Drink up to 2 litres a day.  That is 8 glasses!  It may seem like a lot, but just divide your day like this. 2 glasses on waking.  2 glasses after breakfast. 2 glasses after lunch and 2 glasses after dinner.  Not only will you feel less constipated, but if you have facial eczema, this will clear off due to you being more hydrated.

Your urine should be straw yellow in colour.  This shows that you have enough water in your body.  If it is an orange colour, you are severely dehydrated and probably backed up with a ton of scaly thick eczema on the upper part of your body.

Read my article on Colon cleansing with P&B shakes.  This will help you clear your constipation and allergies on a deeper level than just juicing.

Really you should go about the cleansing of your skin like this:

1.  Three months of colon cleansing alongside eating healthily.

2.  Juicing up to 8 glasses of vegetable juice and avocado smoothies a day

3.   Liver flushing to totally get rid of any allergies you may be suffering from.  You will find when you do the above, your skin will calm down, be less red and even the scars will start to fade.  Your skin will start to glow and become soft like a baby’s.

This procedure of your skin going from thick crusty eczema to soft smooth skin can take up to a year.  So depending on the severity of your eczema, will be the length of your healing time.  So go easy on yourself and buck up, because a change is a-coming!

Update: 24 November 2023

Well, my skin is soft and silky, except for 2 eczema patches on my feet, 1 eczema patch on my right arm and 1 on my upper back.  I had forgotten all about the Dream Cream because I was using Aloe Vera Gelly and Aloe Propolis Creme.

Dream Cream is now £20 for a 240g jar!  But it is great.  I took out my jar from my bathroom cabinet and put it all over my body including the eczema patches…Ahhh – luverly!  No dry bits…

This cream sounds amazing.  I love oat milk and often use Aveeno’s oat milk body wash due to having itchy and sensitive skin.  Anything with rose is also a lifesaver for dry or sensitive skin.  I’ve been using a rose water mist as well as a rose facial moisturizer for quite some time and love the idea of rose in a body lotion!  What form does Dream Cream come in (tub, tube, pump?) and how many oz?  Thanks for the info.

    • Stella says:

      Hi Molly,

Dream Cream comes in 240g size…and is in a tub.  It is also self-preserving so you don’t need to keep it in the fridge.  240g is equal to 8.46 oz.

You may also want to get Moor Mud which is perfect for putting in a bath.  All you need is 1 tablespoon to a bathful of warm water.  It really works.  I am itching way less than before and my skin is much more softer as a result.

The Moor Mud Tub is 500g which is 16oz and costs £24. They do not have an affiliate scheme so I am not earning money by doing a review of their products…

Lush dream cream for eczema looks like a really good product. Do you know if this is just for eczema or can it be used for normal-dry skin. I work a lot outside in the desert and sometimes get very dry patches that can crack. I have not really found anything that helps too much.

    • Stella says:

Dream Cream is really nourishing to skin, but if you work in a desert, you really should buy Shea Butter as it is for cracked, dry skin.  It is richer…

Dream Cream is for all dry skin types.

Thank you for sharing how it’s gone with you concerning this Lush dream cream. I am glad to read posts where I get a first hand experience. And based on your results, I will sure give this cream a try myself. Being able to have a silky skin is a luxury. But it seems possible with this treatment.

    • Stella says:

      Ah Paolo,

If you want silky skin you really must have a Moor Mud bath…It leaves your skin feeling hydrated and moisturised up to 7% more than if you were to take a normal bath.  All you need do is put one tablespoon of Mud in your warm bath water and soak for half an hour before sleeping.

A tub costs £24.  I am not an affiliate with them as they do not have an affiliate program.  But Moor Mud products are priceless and really do work…

So, how exactly did you discover this lush dream cream. What if this was a dreamsicle — I am thinking along the lines of the avocado smoothie?!! Speaking of which, I think it is interesting that you can drink up to eight glasses daily.

I love how this product is available both in cream and liquid forms. Also, could this help with asthma ever since it lessens the severity of eczema to say the least.

Moreover, I never knew the main ingredient for the dream cream is goat milk in which nourishing, soothing, and healing for human skin.

    • Stella says:

      Hi Beth,

Dream Cream is only a cream and not edible.  Drinking 8 glasses of vegetable juice and also avocado smoothies is a separate thing which I drink at breakfast time.   I drink the vegetable juice over the space of 4 hours each morning to keep my skin hydrated.

However Dream Cream does come in an 8oz tub which is a lot of cream.  It normally lasts me for 3 weeks as I currently have a patch of eczema on my back.  I tend to moisturise at least 4 times a day.

If you don’t have eczema, this cream should last you a lot longer.

  5. Malinda says:

Wow! It seems like you got some great benefits from this cream as eczema is really hard to conquer. Two of my children had this and we went through trying out so many things. Now my kids kids have it will definitely have to give this cream a try. I also read your familiar with Black Seed Oil, Do you have good experiences with this as well?

    • Stella says:

      Hi Malinda,

Yes, I am drinking Black Seed oil now and have noticed I have better dream recall. Even conversations I hold whilst dreaming! I also recommend Moor Mud for putting in a lukewarm bath. All you need is a tablespoon of mud to mix with the bath water. Soak for 30 minutes. Don’t rinse off, and moisturise with either olive oil or Dream Cream. You can get Moor Mud products from https://moorbodycare.co.uk.

I never knew oat milk can be this powerful to the point of being effective in treating ezcema. I appreciate the way you further opened up on other components of lush dream cream. I will be giving it a trial especially on my dry skin, I will also take advantage of the Shea butter as explained

    • Stella says:

Well done!  I am glad you will be taking some positive action having read this article.  Dream Cream and Shea butter will definitely give a smoother texture to your skin.

Much thanks to you for sharing how it’s gone with you concerning this Lush dream cream. I’m happy to peruse posts where I get a direct encounter. What’s more, found on your outcomes, I will sure check this cream out myself. Having the option to have smooth skin is an extravagance. In any case, it appears to be conceivable with this treatment.

    • Stella says:

If you really want smooth skin, then you should also try Moor Mud sold by the Moorbodycare.com.

Dee Unruh who is the founder, used to have bad skin until she started using these products, her skin is now soft like a baby’s.  I also started taking Moor Mud baths 3 weeks ago and found my skin getting softer each day.

Now I don’t need to use that much Dream Cream to get results.  So I’m saving time and money.

For a Moor Mud Bath, all you need do is add one tablespoon of Mud to your bath water which should be warm.  Soak for 30 minutes and do not rinse off.

Within 2 weeks, you will notice a difference in the feel of your skin.  More silky and smooth.

Together with the Dream Cream, you will achieve soft, smooth skin.

Hi, I liked your article and I found it very helpful. This cream sounds like a real solution to my itchy skin and I hope my struggle days are over. I’ve been struggling with itchy skin for years and I will be trying this cream to see if it helps out. thanks for sharing this helpful information with us.

But, I wish to ask if the same cream will help for cracking skin? my skin becomes dry, itchy and then cracks eventually.

    • Stella says:

      Hi Koko,

If your skin is cracked then you also need to use shea butter as it is richer.  You can buy it

from Akamuti based in Wales, UK.  They sell organic natural products.  Dream Cream is very nourishing but you will find that also taking a Moor Mud Bath is also healing and soothing for your skin.

My skin is already soft, but has become even more softer since I began taking a bath every other day with Moor Mud.  All you need is 1 tablespoon in a bath of warm water and soak for 20-30 minutes.

Do not rinse off.  Your skin will absorb the residue of the mud while you sleep.  Within 2 weeks, your skin will not be so dry as the Mud retains 7% more moisture in your skin leaving it more hydrated and softer.

      Take Care!

  9. Vanabell says:

Hello Stella! Great job! Absolutely enjoyed this piece!. The first dream cream i used was gifted to me. I had great results using this cream in the past and so i decided to repurchase recently after a long long time. It is still every bit good as i remember. It is absolutely brilliant as a body lotion. It nourished my skin without leaving it tacky and oily.

I also find myself puzzled at the claims of Dream Cream smelling really bad. Its downright baffling. I think it smells wonderful

    • Stella says:

      Ah – another satisfied customer!

I’m glad you like Lush Dream Cream. It’s lovely isn’t it.  It’s very soothing and cooling at the same time. Plus – in London you get 50p discount off new purchases of Dream Cream every time you return an empty clean Dream Cream pot.

  10. Lily says:

Thanks for this great article on Lush Dream cream. I have been looking for some new products for my husband to try as he is still using petroleum-based products which can’t be good for his skin. I’ve noticed as he is getting older that his eczema is getting worse and it really is a challenge with the redness and itching. I will buy him some Lush and hopefully we can start a new age of stressless skin, it sounds luxurious and all-natural too.
